These tumors can occur as single or multiple growths, and they can be located on the outer surface of the uterus, within the uterine wall, or inside the uterine cavity.
They develop from the muscle tissue within the wall of the uterus and can lead to a range of health problems that significantly impact a woman’s life.

Oluwaseun Funmi Ajeigbe has personally experienced the challenges of dealing with fibroids. Through her own journey, which included undergoing fibroid surgical procedures, she became committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others facing similar health issues.
As the Founder and CEO of the De’fibroid foundation, Oluwaseun Funmi is dedicated to raising awareness about fibroids, providing support to affected individuals, and advocating for improved treatments and care. Her personal experiences have given her a unique perspective and an understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological toll that fibroids can have on individuals and their loved ones.
Prior to her work with the foundation, Oluwaseun Funmi built a successful career in the aviation industry. She gained valuable experience and knowledge in the field before pursuing further education in Europe in Business Aviation. Drawing upon her expertise, she established an aviation consultancy company, where she serves as the CEO.
